Support for Schools
How might you use R time in your school?
Below are several ideas that you could use if you wanted to try the programme:
- Buy a book and off you go!
- Buy a book with video/DVD support and give it a go!
- Attend an 'Accredited R time Training Course' and find out more about the programme.
- Visit a school in your area and see R time in action.
- Invite a consultant to visit your school to discuss a plan of action.
Consultant involvement:
- Consultant visits the school for initial discussion with designated member of staff.
- Teacher day/half day (you could share the cost with other schools in your area)
- Twilight staff meeting (one hour)
- Consultant demonstrates the programme in your school + staff meeting.
- Questionnaire support and analysis if embarking on that aspect of R time.
- Lesson observations by the consultant once the programme has been operating for a period of time (usually six to eight weeks).
- T time(transition) training by negotiation with Pete Harvey.
