The R time Video and DVD
This has been developed as a training resource and shows R time being taught in classroom situations in a variety of schools. The DVD or Video, with the accompanying notes, will demonstrate the R time process, guide schools through the various components of the R time programme and questionnaire and enable the user to feel confident in delivering the programme.
The video has 5 sections:
- R time in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 complete with commentary
- R time in the Nursery
- Comments from practitioners in schools
- A brief demonstration of how to use the questionnaire
- Two R time sessions taught by Pete Harvey and Greg Sampson
In the making of this video there was no script and nothing was staged for the cameras. Children were not 'handpicked' but all the schools used had been involved in R time for at least 2 terms.
